Agent Showing House Finds Pile of Bones

GIBSON, La. -- real estate agent showing a house got to the basement and found about 100 human bones in a corner. James Kenny, a forensic investigator with the Terrebonne Parish Coroner's Office, says the bones found Saturday were so old that dirt had saturated the marrow inside them. He says they probably are remains of Native Americans buried long before the house was built.

Kenny says he learned that the previous residents would often find bones while mowing the lawn or doing yard work, and would put them in the basement. Half of the split-level house is on top of a circular mound, which parish officials suggest may be an Indian burial mound.

Family Pleads for Hippo Statue

A Calif. family is missing the 300-pound pink hippo statue from their yard, and they want it back.

Henrietta the Giant Pink Hippo has been missing from the McCarty's El Dorado Hills yard for two weeks, CBS 13 KOVR-TV reported. Lynn McCarty says she thinks it was a teenage prank, but now the joke is over, and she wants her hippo back. "It's not fair, it's not right, they need to bring her back," she told the news station.

The fiberglass statue was last seen in the bed of a white Ford truck as it drove away from her house.
